A six-week practice in storytelling & deep listening

Lighting from Within is a six-week online practice in storytelling and deep listening.

It is not a discussion group, a support group, or a space to analyse current world events.
It is a practice grounded in lived experience, presence, and respectful listening.

What the practice is

At each gathering, participants are invited to share one short story from the seven days leading up to the circle.

The story may be about:

• a moment when you felt pulled out of center

• a moment when you noticed yourself steady again

• or a moment that revealed something true about how you are meeting life right now

The story does not need a conclusion or an insight.
It is enough to name what happened and how it met you.

You are never required to speak.
Listening is full participation.

What “deep listening” means here

When one person speaks:

• there is no interruption

• no response, advice, fixing, or commentary

Listening is silent, attentive, and without agenda.

The rhythm of the circle

This is a six-week practice.
Depth comes from continuity rather than single sessions.

The circle opens at the first gathering and then closes for this round, so the same group listens together throughout.
