ALIGNMENT to WHAT?
ALIGNMENT — Allowing the Universe to Organize the Details
In our recent Lighting from Within – Sustaining Heart-Centered Living circle, we spoke about what it truly means to be aligned. One member suggested alignment means living according to our core values. I felt it goes even deeper — that alignment is living in resonance with our Divine Essence, our True Nature.
It’s not always easy to describe, but we can feel it when it happens. Life begins to flow. The right people appear. The right timing unfolds. The effort feels light rather than forced.
A few years ago, I came across a piece of writing called “Dismantling Expectations.” It helped me understand the quiet difference between desire, intention, and expectation. Desire gives direction. Intention focuses energy. Expectation, however, tries to control how things should happen. Alignment, I now realize, is what happens when we set a clear intention — and then let the Universe organize the details.
In my own life, the story of my allotment garden and little house has been a living example of this.
I saw the ad by chance — or rather, by alignment. The owner turned out to be someone who deeply values biodiversity, just as I do. He accepted my offer with ease. Then, as if guided by an unseen hand, Mohamad appeared — an engineer who now helps me each weekend with both the house and the garden. His attitude, care, and values match my own. I did not chase or plan these outcomes. They came naturally, one unfolding after another, through a steady current of alignment.
Alignment does not mean doing nothing. It means doing our part — tending the soil of intention, taking action when it feels right — and then letting the larger intelligence of Life do its part. The magic happens when we release our grip on how things must unfold and stay open to how they want to unfold.
Within our circle, I’ve noticed the same principle at work. We support each other not by fixing or advising, but by holding energy together. Each story shared ripples through the field, awakening recognition and release in others. When one of us meets a shadow with courage, the rest of us feel a softening too. We are learning that alignment is not only individual — it is collective. By being present, by listening deeply, we help one another stay true to our own essence.
May we continue to align with the quiet pulse of the Universe — acting when guided, allowing when called — and trusting the magic that happens when we unplug from expectation and let Life itself organize the details.
