Calling All Grandmothers: How Do You Protect The Spirit of Your Grandchildren?

When I meet other grandmothers, I am always moved by the quiet strength and wisdom they carry. Recently, at a Silvers gathering, I met a photographer who told me about Nonna_Wisdom, a community for Italian grandmothers. It sparked a seed in me — one I hope will one day grow into a Copenhagen circle for grandmothers.

For now, my heart is calling me to something different but deeply connected — to gather the voices of grandmothers everywhere.

I would love to interview you online for a special series inspired by Chapter 30 of my new book A Listening Grandmother: Protecting the Spirit of the Next Generation – From Private Healing to Mycelium Wisdom.

In this chapter, I write about what it means to guard the sacred essence of our grandchildren — their curiosity, joy, and fearlessness — from the unconscious patterns and emotional wounds we may pass down. I reflect on global injustices toward children, the spiritual battle of keeping their light intact, and the invisible mycelium-like networks we create when we stand together as elders.

If you are a grandmother, I would love to hear:

  1. When you think of your grandchildren’s spirit — their light, curiosity, and fearlessness — what do you feel most called to protect in them, and how do you do it?
  2. What personal “fault lines” or inherited patterns have you chosen to heal so they will not be passed on to your grandchildren?
  3. If you could send one prayer, blessing, or piece of grandmother wisdom into the mycelium network for all the world’s children, what would it be?

If you’d like inspiration before our conversation, you’ll find Chapter 30 in my book A Listening Grandmother, available on Amazon or as an e-book USD 7.50 in my web shop: Link here:

Your voice matters — not just for your family, but for the world. Every story becomes part of the mycelium network of love, protection, and hope.
