Every Story is a Thread in the Weaving

When I look at a loom, I see the golden thread of soul contracts, weaving patterns that only time reveals. But when I look at a wall hanging — colourful, irregular, full of beads and bits of driftwood — I see something else: our circle.

Lighting from Within – Sustaining Heart-Centred Living Together is not just a weekly Zoom call. It is a tapestry in the making. Each story told is another thread knotted into place. Each silence is another space between the beads. Each presence — whether weekly or occasional — is another colour woven in.

In a way, we each have a soul contract with ourselves — to live a life rich enough in stories to be shared. These stories are the threads we bring to the weaving.

Over time, what we are making together is not polished or perfect. It is raw, real, and beautiful — like the wall hanging in the picture. The knots, the frayed edges, even the uneven spacing are part of the pattern. The pattern itself only reveals its beauty when we step back.

This is why I continue to hold these circles. Because story by story, knot by knot, we are weaving something larger than ourselves: a field of love and listening that sustains us and ripples outward.

✨ Every story is a thread. Gratitude is the light that softens it. Elderhood is the grace that reveals the pattern.

What thread will you bring to the weaving? 🌸
