Lighting from Within has existed for 2 years as a closed circle. In 2026, I've decided to open the circle to new members—not to change its nature, but because presence deepens when it is shared, and because listening is strengthened through diversity, not diminished by it.

This is a practice grounded in storytelling and deep listening. It is not a discussion group, a support group, or a space to analyse current world events. It is a practice grounded in lived experience, presence, and respectful listening.

What the Practice Is:

At each gathering, participants are invited to share one short story from the seven days leading up to the circle. The story may be about:

  • A moment when you felt pulled out of centre
  • A moment when you noticed yourself steady again
  • A moment that revealed something true about how you are meeting life right now

The story does not need a conclusion or an insight. It is enough to name what happened and how it met you.

You are never required to speak. Listening is full participation.

What "Deep Listening" Means Here:

When one person speaks:

  • There is no interruption
  • No response, advice, fixing, or commentary

Listening is silent, attentive, and without agenda.

The Rhythm of the Circle:

We meet every Thursday. Depth comes from continuity rather than single sessions. You're welcome to join as regularly or occasionally as feels right for you, though the practice deepens with consistent attendance.

How to Join:

Registration is required. Once you register, the Zoom link will be sent to your email on the day of the gathering.

Perfect for those seeking:

  • A regular practice of presence and listening
  • Connection with others through authentic storytelling
  • A quiet space to notice and name what's true
  • Community grounded in respect and witnessing
  • A weekly anchor point for self-reflection
